David A. Mills

Mills – David A., 84, Richland, passed away on May 21, 2024 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born January 27, 1940, in Johnstown, son of the late Robert T. and Hazel L. (Allison) Mills. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wives, Barbara Lou (Hart) Mills, and Kathy Lee (Berkebile) Mills; great-granddaughter, Kelsey Diane Burnette; brother, Richard R. Mills.

Survived by his loving children, Brenda (Joseph) Kapelewski, Virgina, Robert Mills, Ohio, John W. (Sarah) Corle III, South Carolina, and Kimberlee (David) Geisel, Johnstown; grandchildren, Louise (Chris) Burnette, Andrew (Becca) Kapelewski, Mary (Daniel) Kreutler, Cameron Banjak, Brynne (Eric) Myers, Abigayle Geisel, Loryn Geisel and Eli Toth; great-grandchildren, Zoe Burnette, Ellie Burnette, Cora Kreutler, Reagan Kapelewski, and Xander David Kreutler; sister-in-law, Beth Smith (Mark), Johnstown, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

David was a 1957 graduate of Richland High School. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years, serving in the US Airforce. David later retired from East Hills Ambulance as an EMT after 17 years of service. He was a member of Belmont Community Church of Johnstown. David enjoyed fishing and traveling, but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  

The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 pm on Wednesday, May 29^th,  at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 30^th, at Belmont Community Church of Johnstown with Pastor Jon L. Estes officiating. Committal will be at Grandview Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team.
