Kmett Sr., David C., “Dave”, 64, of East Conemaugh Borough, passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on September 2, 1949 in Johnstown. Son of Andrew and Anna (Foster) Kmett. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Andrew and Edward. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Lillian M. (Williams) Kmett; sons, David Jr., married to the former Angela Birk, Mifflinburg, PA and Dr. Aaron J., married to the former Anita Miller, Hagerstown, MD; grandsons, Kaiden, Gavin, and Kolton; brothers, Leonard (Jolene), Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, Robert, Washington, PA, and Daniel (Mary Ann), York, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Dave was a graduate of Central Cambria High School. He later graduated from University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a degree in Biology. Dave was employed as a Control Room Operator at the Conemaugh Generating Station for over 35 years. He was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration. He enjoyed sports, especially the Pirates and Steelers. Dave loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He was not only a great husband, but a wonderful father. Dave will be remembered for his kind and generous nature and will be missed by all that knew him. Friends will be received from 3-7 P.M. on Monday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday at the Church of the Transfiguration, Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor. Committal will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
