Burns, David R., 44, Baltimore, MD, formerly of Geistown. Died peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with brain cancer on June 6, 2012. Born Sept. 13, 1967, in Windber. Son of James C. and Lorraine E. (Di Giulio) Burns. Preceded in death by Brother James C.III (Jimmy) and maternal grandparents, Ralph and Anita Di Giulio and paternal grandparents, James and Marie Burns. Survived by wife, Tracey (Brown) and son, Collin James Burns. Also survived by âhis sistersâ Chris, Stewartstown, PA; and Susan, Aurora, IL. Father and Mother-in-law, Robert and Pamela Brown; sister-in-law, Jennifer (Brian) Mitarotonda and nephews, Zachary and Aiden Mitarotonda; Aunts, Mary Di Giulio and Dee Hobba and Marge Bahorik all of Windber; and Mary Burns, Geistown. Uncles, Gary Di Giulio, Windber and Jim (Linda) Di Giulio and Carmine (Tudie) Di Giulio, of Canton, Ohio. 1985 graduate of Bishop McCort High School. 1989 graduate of University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Employed by Leach-Wallace Consulting Engineers, Baltimore, MD. David was an avid Steelers and Penguins fan. Friends received from 3-8 pm Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held.
