BODNAR---David M. "Bo," Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on October 13th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Born December 8, 1940. Preceded in death by his dear wife, Barbara Domonkos-Bodnar, granddaughter, Destiny Valente, father, Stephen, mother, Anna, sisters, Elsie Crandle (Richard), Betty Barnes (Robert), Dorothy Gehlmen (Joe), brother, Harold (Judy), and brother-in-law, Thomas Montag. Survived by children; Kenneth Domonkos (Kim) and children Cole, Amy, and Kenny (Zoe); Chris and Colene Domonkos and daughter Kaylin (Frank), Adam and Chardae Domonkos and children Lacey (TJ), Michael, Kali (Nathan), and Devin (Bryanna); Chad Domonkos, Rebecca and Pastor Chris Valente and their sons lan (Jillian), Nathanael, Landen, and Lincoln; Allyson and Lee Toro and children Olivia, Logan, and Lauren. Great Grandchildren Noah, Lauren, Aiden, Lana, Cambria, Andrew, Jaxon, Leila, Liam, Eli, and Kenneth Jude. Also survived by sister Barbara Consolo (Frank), and in-laws Patricia Montag, Brenda and Charles Kuzmiak, Jeff and Patty Boyd, Holly Boyd, Stephen Thompson and numerous other family members. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, was employed at Stonycreek Railroad from 1965-1981, and he was a public server at the Geistown Country Club from 1983-2000. David was a man who had struggles over his lifetime but found freedom, peace, and joy because of Jesus and his family. He was a member at Oakland Church of Johnstown and Bridge To Life Church. He loved sharing stories, telling jokes, playing with his grandchildren, fishing, fixing things and working on projects around the house. He played sports growing up, enjoyed watching sports on tv but his favorite hobby was watching his grandchildren play sports. Being a Grandfather was his greatest joy in Life. He loved his family with all of his heart and revolved his life around them. He will be terribly missed by all who loved him including his little dog, Chance. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bridge to Life Church, 101 Nice Ave., Johnstown, where Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Chris and Ian Valente leading the service.
