Wiegand, Darwin, 92, of Johnstown. Passed away on December 8, 2017 at the Allegheny Lutheran Home. Born on September 18, 1925 in Johnstown. Son of the late Edward and Clara (Paul) Wiegand. Also preceded in death by wife Bernell (Bennett); siblings Walter Sarlouis, Mary Brennan, Dorothy Mintmier, Pearl Sarver, Ralph Wiegand, Mildred Snyder and Shirley Callen. Survived by daughters Susan (Jake) Ohnesorgen and Linda Wiegand; granddaughter Francisca Ovalle; nieces Marlene Metzger and Margaret Sender; and numerous other nieces and nephews. WWII Navy Veteran. Retired from Sani-Dairy and also worked at former Geistown Country Club. Member of Zion Lutheran Church and Lorain-Moxham Lions Club. Friends will be received 3-8 p.m. on Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church. Pastor Michael Van Dyke, officiating. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery with military rites conducted by Marine Corps League, Conemaugh Valley Detachment #287.
