Darlene M. Hajduk

Hajduk – Darlene M., 78, East Conemaugh Borough, went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2017 at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg. Born on October 13, 1938 in Johnstown, daughter of Charles and Helen Bulich. Preceded in death by her parents; step father, John Mozgawa; and husband, John Walter Hajduk. She is survived by her loving son, John M., married to the former Eve M. Flook, Mineral Point; grandchildren, John W. and his fiancée, Haley Kurtz, William “Billy”, and Elizabeth “Lizzie”; brother, Charles, married to the former Olga Daly, Bon Air; brothers-in-law, Jim Medvesky, East Conemaugh, Eugene Smith, married to the former Theresa Hajduk, Portage and Michael Koss Bon Air; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends, including special friends, Connie Brewer, NJ, Patricia Oleksa, East Conemaugh, William Flook, East Taylor Township, Mrs. Kowal, and Ronnie Newell both of East Conemaugh. Darlene was a 1958 graduate of East Conemaugh High School. She retired from Allegheny Lutheran Home after 24 years of service as a Dietary Cook. Darlene was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration. She enjoyed reading, shopping and visiting with friends. More than anything, Darlene loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her family would like to thank the kind and thoughtful caregivers at Cambria Care Center for assisting Darlene over the last several years giving her a home away from home. At. Darlene’s request, there will be no public viewing. Family and friends are invited to attend a committal Service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Assumption Cemetery, Fr. Robert C. Hall.
