Daniel E Paserba

Paserba, Daniel E., “Moto”, 49, of East Conemaugh, passed away at his home with his family at his side on January 24, 2012 after a 3 year battle with leukemia. He was born on May 29, 1962 in Johnstown. Son of Stephen and Mary (Reese) Paserba both of East Conemaugh. In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving wife, Renee J. (Vojtowicz) Paserba; children, Sarah M. Stiffler, Southmont Borough, Devin M. Paserba, Karlee D. Riehl, and Kaleb F. Riehl all of East Conemaugh; grandson, Bentley A. Sanna, East Conemaugh; siblings, Dave (Pam) Paserba, Davidsville, Karen (Steve) DeRubis, Jackson Township, and Lori (Rick) Hoak, Natrona Heights, PA as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends, including his special friend, Jared. Dan is survived by his guard dogs, Rusty, Scrappy, and Pete. He was a 1979 graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School. Dan was a US Army Veteran. He was retired Captain from SCI, Somerset, with 23 years of dedicated service. Dan enjoyed working with his hands and built many decks. He was an avid Steeler Fan. Dan will always be remembered for his humor, generosity and his love for his entire family. Friends will be received from 6 P.M. until time of memorial service at 7 P.M. on Friday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, with the Rev. Robert L. Kristoff officiating. Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests contributions be directed to the Humane Society of Cambria County, 743 Galleria Dr Ext, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Dan.
