Daniel R. Moss

Moss, Daniel R., 66, of Richland Township, passed away on January 28, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born on November 20, 1944 in Johnstown. Son of the late William J. and E. Ruth (McGahan) Moss. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Barbara Jean Eckenrod and brothers, James I. and Gerald E. Moss. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Vickie L. Kleman-Moss, Richland Township; daughter, Megan L. Kurcin, Johnstown; granddaughters, Kenya Sha, Zaria Rae and Asia Simone Kurcin; brother, Robert W. married to the former Donna J. Wilson, Richland Township; numerous nieces and nephews. Danny was a 1962 graduate of Richland High School. He was always involved in the automobile business along with his brother James operating a service station and towing business (Jim’s Sunoco) from 1960 – 1980, closing in 1980. Danny then operated a towing business of his own (Economy Auto) until 1995. Through those years he also lived in different areas of Florida and spent many winters there. He most recently worked at Buds Auto Sales, Beaverdale. Danny enjoyed spending time with his precious grandchildren, traveling and meeting people. At Danny’s request there will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced by the family. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Alpha-1 Association, 2937 SW 27th Avenue, Suite 106, Miami, FL 33133 in memory of Danny.
