Daniel Robert Beabes

BEABES----Daniel Robert, 67, Windber, died April 2, 2022 at home. Born May 20, 1954, son of Louis and Dorothy (Jones) Beabes. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife of 40 years, Kathie (Burns) Beabes; children, James (Martha Dinkel) Burns Beabes; Jessie (Rebecca Piranian) Burns Beabes and Danyelle (Beabes) and John Marks; grandchildren, Jimmy Burns Beabes, Abigail Burns Beabes, Carley Baker, Christian Baker, Breanna Baker and Jacob Baker. Brother of Susan Bullock, Ernest Ray (Barbara Woomer) and John (Pamela Johnson) Beabes. Dan was a 1972 graduate of Greater Johnstown Vocational-Technical High School. He was a US Air Force veteran and also earned an associate’s degree from the Hiram G. Andrews Center. He worked for Shaw Steeple Jacks, United Riggers and DRS Laurel Technologies for 14 years and in various other occupations. Dan was an extremely dedicated and loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He loved the outdoors, reading, computers and model building. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Windber Sportsmen’s Association. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held in the near future. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home.
