Clarence W. Seftic

Seftic, Clarence W. “C.W.” “Skeets”, 89, of Richland Twp. Died Mar. 6, 2017, at Arbutus Manor. Born Sept. 3, 1927, in Johnstown. Son of the late Gregory and Mary Ann (Chrapkiewcz) Szewczyk. Also preceded in death by wife, Florence M. (Gregorchik); siblings, Helen Blasic, Joseph Sucheck, Michael Seftick, Angela Kush and George Seftick. Survived by children; Susan M. (Paul) Smocer; and James T. (Eva M. Yanzetich) Seftic; grandchildren; Bethany (Ryan) Knoblauch and Ryan J. Seftic; great grandchildren, Hudson and Tate Knoblauch. Brother of Louis Sucheck. Also, sister in law, Irene Seftick and numerous nieces and nephews. A Navy Veteran of Korea serving on the USS Flying Fish. Retired Supervisor from Bethlehem Steel. Former owner of Richland Beer Distributor where he worked side by side with his son and grandson. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, where he served as usher and with the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree, All Saints Assembly 954. Clarence will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. He was an affable person who loved interacting with friends and customers. Friends received 3-7 PM Friday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held and K of C, Fourth Degree will stand guard. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at St. Benedict Church. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal at Grandview Cemetery with military Rites by Conemaugh Valley Detachment, Marine Corps League.
