Clara Mae "Susie" Gredesky

GREDESKY---Clara Mae “Susie,” 96, Geistown, passed away on June 16, 2022 at the Lutheran Home at Johnstown. Born May 11, 1926, daughter of Anthony Conway and Helen (Flaugh) Hands. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John Gredesky to whom she was married for 64 years, sister, Mary Tummino, brother, James Conway, son-in-law, James Heilmann and special friend, George Migas. Survived by son, Dennis Ramsey and wife, Pat, Fort Wayne, Indiana; Kathleen Heilmann (Ronald Raymond), Geistown; Marsha Usnik and husband, Ed, Windber; Mariann Hayes and husband, Clinton, York, PA; son, Robert Gredesky and wife, Chris, Johnstown and daughter, Susan Richey and husband, Todd, New Kensington, PA; also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, many cousins and her best friend, June. Susie had a deep faith in God and was a Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown for many years. She was a special mom, grandmother and friends who loved to laugh and never said a bad word about anyone. Susie enjoyed cooking and baking, traveling with her friends, polka dancing and being with her family. She loved doing word puzzles until her eyesight wouldn’t allow it anymore. She was an avid walker around her neighborhood well into her 80’s. She continued her love of walking and was known for running up and down the halls with her walker at the Lutheran Home of Johnstown. Susie generously donated her time and money to many charities over the years. In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorial donations to the charity of her choice in memory of Clara Mae “Susie” Gredesky. The family would like to thank the Lutheran Home of Johnstown and the special aides and nurses who cared for Susie there over the last 3 ½ years. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles Pastor. Committal, Richland Cemetery.
