Clair R. Barker

BARKER --- Clair R., 98, of Richland, died April 15, 2022, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born April 3, 1924 in Johnstown, son of George and Lillian (Hochstein) Barker. Preceded in death by parents; wife Florence (Ashurst), brothers William, Ned, and Donald Barker and daughter-in-law, Barbara (Saylor) Barker. Survived by sons Rian, Richland and Barry, Ligonier; grandchildren, Brett (Hilary), Caryn (Jim), Sean, and Shane; great grandchildren, Harrison, Bentley, and Heath; also, many nieces and nephews. Clair retired from Richland Township as an equipment operator. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and working outside around the house, but most of all, enjoyed his visits with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Formerly active with the Richland Twp Fire Co. The family will receive friends from 3-7 pm Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and again Thursday from 10 am until time of funeral service at 11 am at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, with Pastor Scott Klimke officiating. Private Interment, Richland Cemetery. Family suggests donations to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in memory of Clair.
