FOGLE, Christine M. (Davis), 59, Marine Corps Veteran, passed peacefully on July 3, 2024 at Maple Heights Health and Rehab Center. Born June 12, 1965 to the late Clyde and Eileen (Shaffer)Davis. Preceded in her death by her grandparents John and Rose Shaffer, “dog kids” Gretchen, Hannah, Josiah, and Gracie. She is survived by her sister Karen (John) Ream, her niece Amanda (Dave) Jodon, and her great nieces Addyson and Aaliyah Jodon. She is a 1983 graduate of Richland Senior High School, 1983 graduate of United States Marine Corps Boot Camp, 1997 graduate of Cambria Rowe Business college with an associate’s degree in the legal secretarial program. She worked at Phar-Mor, The Coffee Beanery until it closed, American Mining where Chris then quit to establish Golden Girls Pet Therapy in 1999. She was devoted to volunteering at the local hospitals, nursing homes, schools, Girl Scout Troops, Windber Hospice, and Cambria County Library. Chris started a fundraiser with an annual Pet Therapy Day from 2005-2019 where she donated to the 1889 Foundation. She regularly attended Emmanuel Church. Chris was an active member of the Marine Corps League #287. She was a passionate dog lover and devoted dog mom to Mahlah and Gucci. She enjoyed going to the cottage and was grateful for the gift of many close friends. The family would like to thank Christine’s caregivers and Windber Hospice for their dedication in her care. Friends received 4-7 pm Thursday July 18, 2024 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland where Memorial Service will be at 11 am Friday July 19, 2024. Pastor Josh Thomas, officiating. Inurnment in Soldiers Circle at Richland Cemetery with military rites by Marine Corps League # 287. Contributions in Christine’s name can be made to Cambria County Humane Society.
