Ream – Charlotte R., 96, of Geistown Borough, went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2015 at Arbutus Park Manor. She was born on March 22, 1919 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Joseph Engelbert and Charlotte (Niessner) Pfefferl. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Albert J., “AJ” Ream; brother, Bob, and a sister, Betty Moran. She is survived by her loving children; Kathleen M. Murray, and her fiancée, Jack Fagan, both of Johnstown; Michael J., married to the former Judy Weaver, Easton, PA; Constance M., wife of Frank Tucci, Sarasota, FL; Albert J., married to the former Vicky Tyler, Rehoboth, DE; Patrick J., married to the former Julie Dennin, Wenona, NJ;  Robert P., married to the former Kandice Walsh, Austin, TX; Christopher J., married to the former Yoko Takahashi, NY, NY and Jeffrey J., married to Teresa Glas, Emporium, PA; 15 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Lorene Dunmire, Needham, MA and several nieces and nephews. Charlotte was a 1936 graduate of the former Johnstown Catholic High School and Cambria Rowe Business College. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown where she made quilts that would be chanced off every year at the church picnic. Charlotte was a volunteer at Birthright, Arbutus Park Manor, and as a Girl Scout Leader. She loved to get together with her friends and play bridge. In her later years she became an accomplished artist, whose mentor was Bonnie Luther. Her water colors will always be cherished by her family and friends. Charlotte’s family would like to thank the staff of Arbutus Park Manor for their loving care. She was a great mother who loved her children. Her family always came first. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum. Her  family suggests contributions be directed to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 2310 Bedford Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 or to Arbutus Park Manor, “covered front entrance building fund”, 207 Ottawa Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Charlotte.
