Homan - Charlotte R., 70, of Mineral Point, passed away on June 13, 2015, at Windber Hospice with her family at her side. She was born on April 14, 1945, in Tanneryville. Daughter of Ralph and Ethel (McDowell) Walls. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael "Mike" Homan, and a sister-in-law, Joanne (Parks) Walls. Survived by her loving daughters, Joyce Homan, Philadelphia and Nancy Homan, Vinco; granddaughter, Erica Neuner; siblings, Ralph, married to the former Edna Singer, Jupiter, FL, Fred and his special friend, Helen Krupa, Ebensburg; several nieces, nephews and special friends, Anna and Fred Fisher, Mundys Corner and their entire family. Charlotte was a 1963 graduate of Johnstown High School. She was employed as a seamstress at the former Bestform, Johnstown. Charlotte was a member of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church. Her whole life was devoted to God and her family. She served several churches in the area, where she taught Sunday School and Junior Church. Charlotte enjoyed planting flowers in her garden, feeding birds and all of God’s creatures. She was a selfless lady who loved so many and expected nothing in return. Friends will be received from 3-7 P.M. on Wednesday and from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. on Thursday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, East Conemaugh, with the Rev. Carol Hickman officiating. Private interment will be at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. The family suggests contributions may be directed to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber, PA 15963 in memory of Charlotte. On line condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
