Charles T. "Chuck" Webb

WEBB—Charles T., 86, Richland, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born July 27, 1938, in Windber son of Charles and Edith (Thompson) Webb. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Inez “Tootie,” Darlene and Elda Mae, stepson, John Carrick Jr. and his surviving wife, Kim Carrick, Mineral Point; and niece, Dawn Evans. Survived by loving wife, Margaret “Patty” (Galayda), daughter, Chris Ann Murphy-Borg and husband, Larry, Lake Carmel, New York; son, David and wife, Lee, Hockessin, Delaware; and Patrick and wife, Vicki, Salix; grandchildren, John Carrick III and wife, Helen, Justin Carrick and wife, Kristina, Brendan and Noah Webb, Sydney Webb and Aidan Joyce-Borg and wife, Sara; great-grandchildren, John Joseph Carrick and wife, Alyson and Bradley Carrick; Michael and Leia Carrick. Also survived by brother-in-law, Donald Schriff, and his daughters, Donna and Deeann; brother-in-law, Frank and Linda Strazisar; brother-in-law, Bill Galayda and wife, Judy; brother-in-law, Michael Galayda and wife Laura; and numerous nieces and nephews. Chuck was a 1957 graduate of Windber High School where he played football. He was selected to the Inaugural 1957 Pennsylvania Big 33 team. He was an Army veteran having served in Germany. Chuck worked at Bethlehem Steel and later drove school bus for Ribblett Bus Lines. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2024 at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, with Rev. Dr. Robert F. Oravetz officiating. Private committal at Grandview Cemetery.
