Siplivy, Charles, 85, of  Mt. Hope. Beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather, who went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2013, at home. Born Sept. 25, 1927, in Johnstown. Son of the late John and Anna (Drotar) Siplivy. Also preceded in death by wife of 62 years,  Madeline A. âTootsâ (Gartrell); siblings, John, Mary, Jacob and Anna Simpkins. Survived by sons; Charles E., Lake Forest, CA; Gary, married to Michele (Reed), Mechanicsburg, PA; and David, married to Debra (Allen), Dunlo, PA; grandchildren, Chad (Heather), Dana (Scott), Brooke, Josh, Davey (Nicole), Dustin, Diana (Andrew),  and Katie; great grandchildren, Cody, Sierra, Camden, Olivia, Tyler, Colton, McKenzie and Jillian. U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Retired from Lower Cambria Works, Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. Member of Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. Charlie enjoyed watching and supporting his grandchildrenâs sporting events. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. Friends received 4 to 8 PM Sunday and from 10 AM to time of Service at 11 AM Monday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh. Pastors Gary Tustin and Jim Gay, Officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military rites by Menoher Post # 155, VFW Ritual Team.  Family suggests contributions to The Regional Hospice at Windber, 600 Somerset Ave. Windber, Pa. 15963, in memory of Charlie.
