Kohut, Charles, âCycleâ, 83, of Richland Township. Died June 30, 2014, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born August 8, 1930, in Krings. Son of the late Steven and Eva (Chemiez) Kohut. Also preceded in death by brothers; Steven, John, George and an infant sister; and brother and sisters-in-law, âGuffyâ Pauley, Patricia Pauley Cigich and Audrey Kohut. Survived by wife, Nadley (Pauley) and daughter, Vickie, wife of George DeFrehn, of Richland Township; grandchildren, George Charles, married to the former Anne Fest, of Harrisburg; and Allison Leigh , wife of James Eash of Pittsburgh; great grandchildren, Grant Colsten and Lawson Charles DeFrehn. Sister sâin-law, Elaine Pauley DePolo and Sally Kohut; brothers-in-law, Phillip DePolo and Leonard Cigich; also many nieces and nephews. 1949 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. Retired inspector from the Mechanical Department, Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. Member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Windber and former member of Greater Johnstown Lodge No. 538, F & AM and Jaffa Shrine. Retired member of the Richland Township Planning Commission, serving for 16 years. Cycle enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and bowling. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family. Friends received from 2-8 P.M Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and from 9 AM to 10 AM Thursday, time of service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Windber, with the Pastor Ken Diable officiating.
