Karnosky, Charles âCharlieâ 90, of Richland Township. Died Jan. 16, 2012, at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born Feb. 6, 1921, in Johnstown. Son of the late John and Mary (Karnosky) Karnosky. Also preceded in death by brothers; Michael, Steve and John; and sisters; Rose Kurtz, Frances Sidor, Betty Sidor and Catherine Karnosky. Last surviving member of the Karnosky family of Woodvale. Survived by wife of 60 years, Irene G. (Glass). Also survived by nieces and nephews and grand niece and grand nephews who will miss their âUncle Charlieâ. Served in the Army Air Corps as an air traffic controller during WWII. Retired as a welder in the Car Shop Dept. at Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown and Johnstown Retired Menâs Club. Charlie was a wonderful husband and uncle who enjoyed his family and traveling. Private visitation, however, relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass at 10 am Thursday at St. Benedict Church. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor.
