Charles R. Ickes, lll

Ickes, Charles R., lll, 23, of Johnstown. Died Aug. 13, 2016, at home after battling with PTSD. Born Feb. 25, 1993, in Johnstown. Son of Charles R. Jr. and Cynthia M. (Bennett) Ickes. Preceded in death by paternal and maternal grandparents. In addition to his parents he is survived by sister Courtney and fiancée’, Josh Stillwagon. Nephew of Ann and Ron Jones and Pam and Chuck Penatzer; cousins, Brad and Brenda Jones, Andrew and Andrea Stupi, JR and Amanda Slaventa, Josh and Ellie Penatzer; and Cayla Penatzer; Also all Marine Corps brothers and sisters and loyal friends. Charlie was a Marine Corps Corporal stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC and served a tour in Afghanistan. Presently attending UTI in Exton, PA. Charlie had an infectious smile and humor that brought joy to his family and friends. Friends received 2-8 PM Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and from 10 AM to time of Service at 11 AM Wednesday at Oakland United Methodist Church. Pastor Randy Bain, officiating. Interment with military rites at Richland Cemetery.
