Charlie raised two wonderful children, they have great personalities, and did very well with their lives. That to me shows what kind of man and father he was. He will be missed by everyone that knows him.

I'm so sorry to hear about Gumpy, as we know him growing up in the Hornerstown section of Johnstown. We had some great memories together, playing basketball, camping, fishing and getting into lots of trouble. My condolences go out to his family as he'll be missed by everyone. Rest In Peace my friend!

Charlie helped my husband Bob and me at the lowest time in our lives. Charlie was with him when others were afraid to visit. He gave a dying man an opportunity to feel important , to feel part of life when it was slipping away. That was 31 years ago it seems like yesterday I remain as grateful today as I was then. Since then I have tried to live life making others feel included and important. Thank you Charlie you made a very big difference in my life

Many may not know that Charles was a wonderful baker. He served me the best humble pie. I am grateful to have benefited from his advice and generosity. I hope that I was able to annoy him just as much as his own children. May he rest in peace.
