Celia A. Salem

Salem, Celia A., 88, of East Conemaugh. Died Mar. 26, 2015, at The Villa. Born Oct. 4, 1926, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Alex and Anna (Wash) Ziemba. Also preceded in death by husband, Samuel  A. Salem; son William; daughter Debbie Mandichak; and daughter in law, Connie Salem; siblings, Helen, Christina, Lottie, Angeline, Mary, Ann, Joseph, Marie, Julia, Thomas and Frances. Survived by children; Russell E. Salem; and Kathy, wife of Paul Cunningham; and son in law, James Mandichak; grandchildren, Ryan (Catherine), Scott (Sherri), B.J. (P.J.), Jeremy (Amber), Chad , Ian, Zack and Colin; great grandchildren, Alison, Brendan, Ty, Trent, Anna, Seth, Sy and Stevie. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Member of American Legion Auxiliary and Harmonie Club. Ceil was an avid bowler and golfer who loved to laugh and dance. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with and entertaining family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Trisagion Prayers of Mercy will be held at 7:30 PM and  Funeral Prayers at 10 AM Tuesday. Very Rev. Fr. Donald E. Shadid, officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
