Cecelia A. Roy

Roy – Cecelia A., 83, Johnstown, died on May 27, 2016 at home. To know her was to love her. Kind, generous, fun and funny, Cecelia was a remarkable woman. Born on March 30, 1933 in Johnstown to Stephen Sr. and Magdaline Murgas, Cecelia was the life of our party. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband, Harry Roy, and sisters, Madlyn Trzeciak and Rosemary Cates, and brothers, Robert and Paul Murgas. Cecelia is survived by her loving daughters, Ardy Hasse, and Kimberly Janeway; son-in-law, David and grandson, Robert Janeway; brothers, Stephen and Raymond Murgas; sisters-in-law, Carol, Cheryl, Mary Jo, and Mary Lou Murgas; many wonderful nieces and nephews, and life-long friends, Aggie, Donna, Georgie, and Helen. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday (June 4th) at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. The family suggests contributions be directed to St. Vincent DePaul Family Kitchens, 231 Bedford Street, Johnstown, PA 15901 in memory of Cecelia.
