Catherine J. Duca

Duca, Catherine J., 68, of Dunlo, passed away July 28, 2015, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born on December 30, 1946, in Windber. Daughter of the late George and Frances (Honkus) Federovich. Also preceded in death by husband Barry L. Duca. Survived by daughter Colleen, wife of Dewey Layton, Belmont; and son Joseph, married to Georganne, Adams Twp.; grandchildren, Daniel and Benjamin Layton; Cody Duca; and  Carter Jones. Sister of George (Patti) Federovich; Sister in law, Deborah (Donald) Kormanik; and Aunts Pauline (Honkus) Patsy and Joann (DeFrank) Tibbens; and Uncle Jack (Janet) Quinn. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Graduate of Windber High School. Formerly employed at Giant Eagle Bakery, J.C. Penney and retired from Quaker Sales Corp. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. Catherine enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing bingo and especially going gambling. She operated a ceramic shop out of her home for many years. Catherine was a wonder wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held at 7 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church at 11 AM Friday. Fr. George Gulash, pastor. Fr. Roderick Soha, T.O.R., Celebrant.
