Catherine L. Brennan

Brennan – Catherine L., 97, Echo, PA, went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2017 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born on January 23, 1920 in Echo, PA, daughter of Andrew and Ida (Heinrich) Bimeal. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas J.; brothers, Robert and Arthur. She is survived by her loving children, Carol A., wife of Harry Teeter, Regina L., wife of Barry Freeburn, Mary C., wife of Larry Kush, Timothy M., married to the former Shawn Stoner, Patrick T., married to the former Michele McGuirk, and Christopher P, married to the former Deirdre Renowden; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Catherine was a 1938 graduate of Franklin High School. She was a devout Catholic and a member of the Church of the Transfiguration. Catherine was a founding member of a pinochle card club that met monthly for over 60 years. She enjoyed gardening, feeding birds, cross word puzzles, and reading. Catherine’s family was always close knit and loved each other’s company. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Friday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Church of the Transfiguration, Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor. Committal will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Geistown. The family suggests contributions be directed to Arbutus Park Manor, 207 Ottawa Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 or to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber PA 15963 in memory of Catherine.
