Carolyn E. "Cal" Chapple

CHAPPLE – Carolyn E. “Cal,” Johnstown, passed away on May 4, 2022. Born May 12, 1927 in Johnstown, daughter of Chester and Hazel (Wisor) Querry.  Proceeded in death by parents; husband, William (Bill); sisters Doris E. Stravers, Betty L. Long and brother, Chester (Bud) R. Querry.  Survived by these children:  Karl M. Chapple, married to former Nancy Ford, Beaver Falls; Scott C. Chapple, married to former Billie Jo Szuch; Brian J. Chapple, married to former Dawn Perry, Johnstown; and Brenda J. Chapple-Fulton and committed companion, Michael Stanley, Boswell; Grandchildren, Erik Chapple, married to former Melissa Stoner, West Chester;  Shelly Chapple, married to Colby Clements, Colorado;  Jason Chapple, married to former Heather Jennings, Florida;  Logan (Miller) Diamond, married to Neil Diamond, Hollsopple; Brady (Miller) Keane, married to Kyle Keane, Windber;  Levi Miller, USAF, stationed in England; great-grandchildren Brody; Chase; Eli; Hanna, Joseph Dean; Kellen; Nora; Michael; Thomas; two great-grandchildren; step grand-children Megan Kerner, married to Josh McHenry, their son Jack, Maine; Valerie Kerner, Beaver Falls; numerous nieces and nephews. Cal worked for Atty. Harry Simons as a legal secretary. Lifelong member of Belmont United Methodist Church, where she taught 35 years of Sunday School to various age levels.  Also appeared on A.C.C.E.S.S. television ministry for 13 years. Member of O.E.S. #945, Anna L. Windolph Chapter. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.  The family will receive friends from Noon until time of Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2022 at Belmont United Methodist Church, 107 Coldren St., Johnstown, with Rev. Rob Hernan officiating. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber or Belmont United Methodist Church in memory of Carolyn E. Chapple.
