Schirato - Carol Ann, 63, of Windber, passed away peacefully following a six-month courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, on March 9, 2015, at home and sur¬rounded by her family. Pre¬ceded in death by parents, Louis J. and Edith M. (Bas¬ko) Farkas. Survived by loving husband of 43 years, John R. Schirato; son John D. Schirato, and wife Chris-tine M. (Slavik), Salix; son Jason P. Schirato and wife Kim¬bo (Brown), Carbondale, CO; granddaughter, Addison Marie, who was Bubbaâs girl, Zumba part¬ner and bingo buddy. Also survived by brothers, Louis E. Farkas, Johnstown and Andrew M. Farkas and wife Kristine (Elias), Windber and their daughter Angela. Also survived by brothers-in-law, George De¬Frehn and wife Vickie (Ko¬hut) Richland Township, Randy DeFrehn and wife Margaret, Clarksburg, MD; and Rick DeFrehn and wife Patti (Burgess), Dallas, TX and numer¬ous nieces, nephews, fam¬ily and friends. Carol was a 1970 graduate of Forest Hills High School. She was a 25 year employee of Giant Eagle Bakery, Richland and former Bestform em¬ployee. Carol loved playing slots, working and exercis¬ing at Curves in Richland and playing BINGO. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. on Thursday Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. David C. McGee officiating. Private entombment will be at Richland Mausoleum.
