Carol A. Kern

Kern – Carol A., 78, Dale Borough, passed away on April 19, 2021. Born on June 12, 1942 in Johnstown, daughter of Alfred D. and Catherine M. (Petrun) Muccioli. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joseph F. and Alfred J. Muccioli, and sister, Irene I. Shaulis. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Donald L. Kern Sr., Dale Borough; daughter, Susan A. (Randall J. Sr.) Glessner, Windber, son, Donald L. Kern Jr., Johnstown; grandchildren, Randall J. Glessner Jr., Corey L. Glessner, Chantal L. Lasagna, Tatiyana L. Kern, and Zachary L. Kern. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren and siblings, Victor J. (Sandy K.) Muccioli, and Kathy B. (Stanford E.) Westover, and several nieces and nephews. Carol was an employed at Toy Ladies for 14 years and later retired from Bestform after 12 years of service. After retirement she volunteered her time at Al Muccioli’s Service Center, Johnstown, helping her brother, Alfred for 11 years. Carol’s passion was making all kinds of crafts and enjoyed both having and going to garage sales. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. At Carol’s request, there will be no public viewing or service. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Private entombment will be at Richland Mausoleum.
