Trabold – Carmen C., 90, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2016 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born on August 29, 1925 in Johnstown, daughter of Alfredo and Eugenia (Lozano) Cortes. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, William A. Trabold; infant son, Arnold; grandson, Kelly Craig; sisters, Leonor Curley and Delores Sullivan; brothers-in-law, John Curley, Carl Sullivan, Charles Lux, Charles Sadosky. She is survived by her loving children, Thomas, married to the former Carol Pentz, Wilmington, NC, Timothy, married to the former JoAnn Pikovsky, Windber, Kathleen, wife of Eugene Monihan, Haymarket, VA, Carmen Spezzano, Beverly, NJ, Christopher, married to the former Adriana Camargo, Rock Hill, SC, Theresa, wife of Charles Waselewski, Waldorf, MD, and Damien, married to the former Tammy Sheehan, Kissimmee, FL; 20 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Isabel Sadosky, Johnstown, and Theresa Lux, Huntsville, AL; brothers, Alfred Cortes, married to the former Nancy Cogswell, Phoenix, AZ, and Ricardo Cortes, married to the former Geraldine Dowdell, Southern Pines, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. Carmen was a 1942 graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School. During WWII, she was a riveter and welder, for the war effort, at Lincoln Motor Company in Detroit, MI. Carmen was employed at numerous businesses in the Johnstown area, and retired from the C.I.A. after 10 years of service as a house keeper. She was an active member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Carmen enjoyed, baking, cooking, playing cards and traveling with her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Carmen’s family would like to thank the staff at Arbutus Park Manor for their outstanding care. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 2310 Bedford Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Carmen.
