Byron L. Stuver

Stuver – Byron L., 81, Davidsville, went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2023. Born on May 9, 1942 in Johnstown, son of Richard C. and Elda F. (Eicher) Stuver. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard J. Stuver, and brother-in-law, Harve Stineman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty J. (Fleming) Stuver; children, David B Stuver and his partner, Travis R. Pegram, Ogletown, Sherie L. (Daniel) Potchak, Elton, and Cristie E. (David) Felix, Clayton, NC; grandchildren, Jesse (Jordin) Potchak, Jamie (Matthew) Montag, Kelsie (J.C.) Ammons, and Allyson Felix; great grandchildren, Mia, Addison, Elle, Jackson, Cameron, and Grayson; sister, JoAnna Stineman; sister-in-law, Linda Stuver; brother-in-law, Jim (Miyoko) Fleming; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends, including best friends, Roger and Sally Layton.

Byron was a 1961 graduate of Richland High School. He retired from Laurel Highlands Fur Farm after 34 years of service. He and Betty moved to Naples, FL and managed high rise condominiums for 20 years. After retirement, they moved back to the Johnstown area to be closer to their family. Byron enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, football, and working in his orchards. Most of all he loved his family and was very proud of their achievements.

Friends will be received at Faith Baptist Church, Sunberry Street from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday. A Memorial Service will follow at 4 p.m. at the church with the Pastor Andrew Taylor officiating. Private entombment will be at Richland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Faith Baptist Church, 730 Sunberry Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Byron.
