Betty J. Walter

Walter, Betty J, 89, of Salix. Passed away on April 12, 2020, at Windber Woods.  Born August 1, 1930, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Arthur and Bernadine (Slate) Renowden. Also preceded in death by husband, Ray L. Walter; brothers, a sister, and friend Jane Horner. Betty was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  Survived by daughters Ruth Boxler and husband Gary, Janet Brehm and boyfriend James Weaver, Kathy Wagner and Fiancé Stacy Brehm; Grandsons Brian Boxler married to Christie and Bradley Boxler; Travis Wagner and Fiancée Ilsa West; Granddaughter Hannah Wagner and boyfriend Elliot Thompson; Great grandson Michael Boxler and great granddaughters Mya and Olivia Boxler. Also, friends Mary Ann Roush, Ruth Wagner and numerous surviving nieces and nephews. At Betty’s request and due to the corona virus, there will be no public viewing and a private service with Pastor James Gay from the GJCF Church for the immediate family at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
