Betty May Taylor

Taylor - Betty May, 85, Windber, went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Betty was born in Indiana County, Pennsylvania on September 30^th 1937. Daughter of the late Martin and Evelyn Smith-Kostro. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Taylor; infant son, Jonathan, and son, Richard Taylor.

Survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Melvin Taylor; daughters, Charlotte (Bill) Hanik, and Sharon (David Lee) Herron; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was a loving, compassionate woman who will be missed and was loved by many. She had a strong Christian faith which she taught to her children. Betty loved her church, daily devotions, crocheting and spending time with family.

At Betty’s request, there will be no public viewing or service. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
