In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his spouse Marguerite R. (Saintz) Brosig, and brother Edward Brosig. He is survived by sons, Bernard III (Linda) Brosig, Michael (Robbie) Brosig, and Lawrence (Cindy) Brosig; grandchildren, Brian Brosig, and Scott (KerryAnne) Brosig, Michael (Kelly) Brosig, Sean (Natalie) Brosig, Laura (Erika) Brosig, Melanie (Mark) Elias, Joseph (Tiffany) Brosig, and Bradley Brosig; great grandchildren, Blake and Kody Brosig, Paige and Ashley Brosig, Maya Moritz, Hayden and Landon Brosig, Claire and Chase Elias, and Jackson and Avery Brosig; sister, Delores Gunsallus, and several nieces and nephews. Bernard was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, serving from March 6th, 1943 to May 9th, 1946. He was employed by Cambria Equipment Company and various local television repair shops, and retired from WJAC-TV. Bernard was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. He loved spending time with his family and was always there to help when needed. His family would like to thank the very caring staff at Arbutus Park Manor (where Bernard was able to still do 12 pushups) for their loving care. Due to the public health concerns there will be a private Funeral Mass at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor, officiating. Entombment will be at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum with Military graveside rites by Menoher VFW Post #155 Ritual Team. The family suggests contributions be directed to Arbutus Park Manor, 207 Ottawa Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Bernard C. Brosig, Jr. Online condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com
