Benita M. Gustkey

Gustkey, Benita M. “Bonnie”, 68, of East Conemaugh Borough, passed away on April 26, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on December 21, 1946 in East Conemaugh. Daughter of the late Robert C. Sr. and Eleanor A. (Ayers) Steepe. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest H. “Ernie” Sr.; infant son, Ernest H. Gustkey Jr. Survived by loving children Steven S. married to the former Vanessa Plovish, East Conemaugh, George H., Windber, Rodger D. married to the former Mandy Price, Johnstown and Louann L. Gustkey and her companion, Greg Patterson, both of East Conemaugh; 10 grandchildren; brother, Robert Jr.; sisters, Margaret Burke, Sally Clawson and Cassandra Speers and numerous nieces and nephews. Bonnie was a 1966 graduate of Franklin High School. She was employed as a tacker for 8 years at the former Bestform and later was employed for over 7 years as a nurses aide at the Church of the Brethren Nursing Home. Bonnie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed taking short trips and spending time with her family. Benita especially loved Christmas time with her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 5 p.m. until time of service at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh with the Rev. Michael A. VanDyke officiating.
