Barry E. "Pete" Davis

April 6, 1949 — December 16, 2020

DAVIS--Barry Eugene Sr. “Pete,” 71, of Somerset, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at home with his family. Barry was born at the family home in Berlin, PA on April 6, 1949, the son of George and Caroline (Dickey) Davis. He was a truck driver for many years, and received many awards for excellence in his profession. Special thanks to Stutzman Trucking for letting him drive part time after he retired. He also enjoyed pampering his classic cars and showing them at car shows and parades. He was an avid car racing enthusiast, and joined his sons to race their car at local race tracks. Barry was preceded in death by his father, George. He is survived by his loving wife, Hazel Virginia (Ryman); three sons and their families, Barry Jr. (Katie), Michael (Judy), Brian (April); five grandchildren, James, Miles, Adam (Liz), Taylor Tilini (KT), and Abby; sister Connie Baker (Danny); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Special thanks to In Touch Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to In Touch Hospice or Somerset United Methodist Church on behalf of Barry. The family will have a private service at this time, but they are planning a gathering for everyone to be held this summer.
