Barbara Reeves

Reeves, Barbara E., “Lizzie”, 80, of Richland Township, went to her Heavenly Home on December 14, 2012. She was born on December 4, 1932 in Buffalo, NY. Daughter of the late Robert and Rose M. (Moss) Edwards. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Loren C. “Luke” Reeves, Richland Township and these children, Randy and his wife Carole, Delaware, Stanley, SC, and Carlton, married to the former Charlene Hose, Hagerstown, MD. Also 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Lizzie retired from Burger King on Scalp Avenue in 1996. She was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess, and was a former choir member. Lizzie enjoyed feeding and watching birds and videoing bears that came to the house to raid the bird feeders. She loved taking kids on tours of Burger King, but especially loved spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. Lizzie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Friends will be received from 3-8 P.M. on Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. on Monday at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Arbutus Avenue & Belmont Streets, with the Rev. Charles W. Davis officiating. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Missions Outreach, 100 Arbutus Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Barbara.
