LIVINGSTON---Barbara E., 73, Johnstown, passed away July 13, 2023. Born July 30, 1949, in Johnstown, daughter of Joseph and Audrey (Weller) Neisner. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Audrey Neisner; In-laws, Paul and Mary Livingston, and brothers-in-law, Dan and Eric Livingston. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Livingston; daughter, Lisa Penrod (Donald); and son, David (LeeAnn); her grandchildren, Alex, Kaitlyn, and Sarah; her brother, Joseph Neisner (Deborah), nephew Neil (Rachael); niece Natalie (Nate); sister-in-law, Charleene Novic (Doug), nephews Dan (Kari) and Jon (Kristina), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and special friends. Each person in this world is a unique human being. Barb was the unique hub of the Livingston family wheel. She loved her family and valued them above all else. Barb lived a simple life as she cared for her husband, children, and grandchildren, all while finding joy in the simple pleasures, such as watching her squirrels, hummingbirds, and deer from her kitchen window. The phrase, “Though she be small, she be fierce” is the epitome of who, and what, Barb was. If any of her family were in need, she was always there to help, and God help anyone who got in her way! Barb cherished family traditions and holidays, always preparing a fabulous feast, including special requests, for her family. She particularly enjoyed having her family around the table, eating, laughing, and inevitably, teasing her when she mixed her words up (Uncle Deb and Aunt Joe) which served to make her more endearing to those who loved her. Barb lived a simple life that impacted everyone around her in a powerful and memorable way. Barb will be profoundly missed. A private memorial will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church at the convenience of the family. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice in her honor. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Online condolences may be posted at www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
