Barbara J. Kosco

Kosco – Barbara J., 85, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on September 27, 1929 in Johnstown, daughter of Albert and Helen (Humbert) Roberts. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Kosco and siblings, Richard and Doris Lasko. She is survived by her loving daughter, Anna Marie Catterton, Salix, PA; granddaughter, Dawn Marie, wife of Phillip Ponticello, Marshall, VA; sister, Germaine Yeager, South Fork, PA; brother, Lawrence (Connie), Brook Park, OH and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was a graduate of Richland High School. She retired from the former Cenwest Bank, where she was employed as Bank Teller. Barbara was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown and an active member of the Solomon Run Vol. Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and playing BINGO. Barbara loved her entire family, especially her granddaughter. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Geistown. The family suggests contributions be directed to the Humane Society of Cambria County, 743 Galleria Dr, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Barbara.
