Barbara J. Barbus

Barbus, Barbara J., “Barb”, 55, of East Conemaugh, passed away on March 7, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born February 6, 1956 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Joseph S. Barbus and Dorothy M. (Lebosky) Barbus, East Conemaugh. Preceeded in death by father; sisters, Melanie Barbus, Elayne M. Barbus-McMinn and her loving companion, Michael Palso. In addition to her mother she is survived by her sisters, Paulette B. wife of Tom Szwast, East Taylor Township, Susan wife of Robin Dietz, and Joyce L. fiancé of Fred Farabaugh all of East Conemaugh; numerous nieces, nephews; great nieces; a great nephew and numerous friends. Barbie was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Johnstown. She was a 1974 graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School. She enjoyed sports, listening to a variety of music, and will be remembered as a person who always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. Barbie lived life to the fullest. She was a wonderful loving daughter, sister and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her entire family. Friends received 2 P.M. until time of service at 6 P.M. on Thursday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, with the Rev Eleanor Abarno officiating. A private family committal will be at Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to the family in memory of Barb.
