Antoinette M. Sgroi

Sgroi – Antoinette M., 93, of Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2015 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born on June 3, 1922 in Johnstown, daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Daidone) Oliveri. Preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Sgroi. She is survived by her loving children, John Sgroi, Johnstown, Joseph, married to the former Carol Omodio, Orrtanna, PA, Angelina, wife of Joseph Matey, Johnstown, and Vincent, married to the former Deborah Good, Richland Township; grandchildren, Tina, wife of David Rohde, Central City, Renee, wife of Rick Dudinak, Oakland, Vincent Matey and his girlfriend, Jill Baumgardner, both of Johnstown, and Amanda Sgroi and her finance, Joseph Thompson, Pittsburgh; great grandchildren, Nicolo Cascino, Los Angeles , CA, Madison and Brook Stem, both of Central City, Chance, Zane, Kaden Dudinak; sister, Carmella Falsone, Richland Township; brother, Lewis, married to the former Margaret Keifline, Johnstown; brother-in-law, Angelo Sgroi, Bradenton, FL; sister-in-law, Margaret Sgroi, NY and numerous nieces and nephews. Antoinette was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking and cooking. Antoinette loved her entire family more than anything in this world. Her family would like to thank everyone at Arbutus Park Manor and AseraCare Hospice for their care and compassion. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at St. Anthony Cemetery.
