Sherron – Anthony C., “Tony”, 88, Vinco, went to be with the Lord on Mar. 10, 2020. Born on March 14, 1931, in Patton, son of Samuel and Rachael (Elms) Sherron. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Earla R. (Lenhart) Sherron; brothers, William and Samuel and sisters, Margaret Joyce Allen and Rachael Elaine Sherron; and brother in law, Walter Lodolinski. He is survived by his loving children, Charlene M. (Steve) Toth, Sykesville, MD; and Robert A. (Robin) Sherron, Monroe Township, NJ; grandchildren, Devin Kyle and Cassidy Marie; siblings, Barbara Lodolinski, Richland; Thomas (Janet) Ciranni,VA; and Carol (Urban) Wolf, Chardon, OH; brother in law, Dr. Herbert Allen, Richland; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends, including special friends, Terry and Doug Lengenfelder. Tony was a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired from Bethlehem Mines after 38 ½ years of service as a Supervisor. After retirement, he worked 21 years as a Clerk for the former Mackall Brothers Hardware Store, Vinco. Tony was a member of Summit Chapel United Methodist Church; Conemaugh Valley Detachment #287 Marine Corp League, and the American Legion, Parkhill Post #970. He enjoyed wood working and building as well as donating many rocking horses to charity. Tony loved fly fishing on Yellow Creek River in Bedford County, and sharing his knowledge of Cambria County history. At Tony’s request, there will be no public viewing.
