Nastase, Anthony M., âTonyâ, 81, of Richland Township, passed away on May 4, 2012 at Windber Hospice. He was born on August 7, 1930 in Beaverdale. Son of Anthony Jr. and Ellen (Rhoads) Nastase. Preceded in death by parents and his beloved son, Anthony âCorkâ Nastase. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret L. âMargieâ (Puto) Nastase; daughter, Barbara E., wife of Robert Naglic, Stafford, VA; daughter-in-law, Suzanne (Gunnels) Nastase, Chester Springs, PA; grandchildren, Robert Naglic, married to the former Elaine Fields, Mechanicsville, VA, Melissa (Naglic), wife of Bradley Nicholas, Great Falls, VA, Sarah and Katie Nastase both of Chester Springs, PA; beloved great grandchildren, Allyson, Brady, and Chloe Nicholas, and Cecilia and Genevieve Naglic; sister, Margaret Donato; brother, David Nastase; sister-in-law, Dorothy Glosky; brother-in-law, Albert Puto, married to the former Joanne Peron; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Tony was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was owner and operator of the former Nastase Motors and A&M Transit Bus Company for 30 years. Tony was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, where he served as an Usher for many years and the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2275, Portage, PA. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #0849, Richland; life member of the Beaverdale Volunteer Fire Company; Beaverdale Sportsmanâs Association and Brookside Sportsmanâs Club. Tony served on the Vo-Tech School Board and served for 17 years on the Forest Hills School Board, where he served several terms as President. He later served on the 1st Summit Bank Advisory Board. Tony was instrumental in bringing several businesses to Beaverdale while a member of the Beaverdale Civic Association. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards and golfing at Windber Country Club. Tony loved spending time with his entire family. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be at 10 A.M. on Monday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Father David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
