Kendera, Anna M., âHoneyâ, 95, of East Taylor Township, formerly of Woodvale, went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2012 at her daughterâs residence. She was born on December 5, 1916 in Johnstown. Daughter of John and Mary Winarchik. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Andrew M. Kendera; brother, John; sisters, Rose Krawiec, Betty Brandes, and Katherine Roman; sister-in-law, Jay Winarchik; brothers-in-law, William Krawiec, Otto Brandes, George Roman and Richard Hotham and a son-in-law, Ted Kucera. She is survived by his loving children, Shirley A. Kucera, East Taylor Township and Nicholas âNickâ (Johanna) Kendera, Jupiter, FL; grandchildren, Gregg Kucera, Leslie (Craig) Smoter, Jeff (Rebecca), Tony (Lisa) and Andy Kendera; great grandchildren, Sara and Megan Smoter, and Alyssa and Adam Kendera; great great-grandchildren, Justin and Scott Kendera; sisters, Mary Hotham, Dublin, OH and Helen (Robert) Harr, Johnstown and several nieces and nephews. Honey was a cake decorator at the former ACME Bakery, Woodvale, where she was employed for 28 years. She later was employed for 9 years at Memorial Hospital in the Central Supply and the Recovery Room. Honey was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church; Woodvale Athletic Club Ladies Auxiliary and the Democratic Womenâs Club. She enjoyed working at the polls, dancing, and baking. Honey loved gardening, especially her rose garden and spending time with her family and friends. Friends will be received from 3-7 P.M. on Sunday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Prayer service will be held at 10 A.M. on Monday at the funeral home, Father David S. Peles, Pastor. Interment will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
