Ann Papinchak

Papinchak, Ann, 87, of Salix, PA, went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2013 at her residence. Born on November 4, 1926 in Vintondale, daughter of Michael and Catherine (Hensal) Pascovich. Preceded in death by parents; step father, Stanley J. Skowron; husband, Michael B. Papinchak; son, Michael B. Papinchak; grandsons, Damian E. and Jamie R. Papinchak; brother, John. She is survived by her loving sons, Thomas A., married to the former Mary Knapp, Houston, TX, Edward G., married to the former Beverly A. Hill, Salix, PA, Richard S., married to the former Diana L. Ott, Salix, PA, and Ronald M., FL; grandchildren, Eric, Stephanie, Kelly, Courtney, Jason, Stacie, Robert, Krista, David, and Sara; nineteen great grandchildren; sister, Helen Soyka, Windber; brothers, Mike Pascovich and Nick Pascovich, married to the former Patricia Raysko Pascovich, all of Windber, Stanley J. Skowron Jr, married to the former Kim Irons, Westmont and Gregory J., married to the former Diana Ryan, Richland Township; numerous nieces, nephews and her two buddies, Odie and Lulu. Ann was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Windber. She enjoyed shopping, working in her garden, and was an avid Penn State and Steeler football fan. Ann will be remembered for her baking, particularly her nut rolls and Sunday dinners. She loved her entire family, but especially loved her grand and great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be at 10 A.M. on Friday at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Rev. George M. Gulash. Committal will be at Richland Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber, PA 15963 in memory of Ann.
