Angela D. Martin (Boito)

Martin (Boito) - Angela D., "Angie", 76, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2016 at her residence. Born on May 19, 1939 in Frugality, PA, daughter of Angelo and Stella (DeDea) Boito. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard J. Martin; infant brothers, Ronald, Richard, and Frankie, and her faithful companion, PeeWee. She is survived by her loving brothers, John A., married to the former Alice Copeland, Jacksonville, FL and Joseph A., married to the former Jacqueline A. Walat, Richland Township; nieces, Karen Swope, FL and Kelly (Justin) Lemkul, MD and nephews, Mark (Lauren) Boito, Richmond, VA and Michael (Jennifer) Boito, Jacksonville FL. Angela was a 1957 graduate of Johnstown High School and later attended Mt. Aloysius. She was employed at Penn Traffic as a Sales Associate. In 1964 she joined the US Navy and was stationed at Naval Air Station Whiting Field, Milton, FL. After her discharge she was employed from 1967 – 1994 at various government agencies in Washington DC, Jacksonville, FL, and Mt. View, CA. During Angela’s teenage years, she sang in the choir at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Woodvale. In 2010, after moving back to Johnstown, she joined St. Benedict Catholic Church. She was an avid bowler, with her late husband, Richard. Angela loved all animals, including her St. Bernard, Missy and numerous cats, especially her beloved cat, PeeWee, who accompanied her through-out her fight with dementia. Friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at St. Anthony Cemetery, Geistown.
