PASKO---Andrew J. “Smiley,” 99, Richland, passed away on June 6, 2024 at Heritage Ridge Senior Living at Johnstown. Born October 10, 1924, in Windber, son of Andrew and Anna (Molchany) Pasko. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Betty A. (Gindlesperger) who died in 2009; and sisters, Mary Kochinski, Anna Zombeck and Agnes Rynkiewicz. Survived by children, Debra Crowder, Johnstown; Vicki (William) McGhee, Johnstown; and Brian (Kimberly) Pasko, Richland; grandchildren, Amanda (Curtis) Zaleski, Ryan (Stephanie) McGhee, Sean McGhee and fiancé, Lindsay Price, Andrew (Haley) Pasko, Jaynie Pasko, Melonie (Ryan) McManigle and Wendy (Frank) Coffey; great-grandchildren, Laura and Logan Zaleski, Landon and Everett McGhee, Zoey Pasko, Madison and Olivia McManigle and Killian Coffey. Andy worked in the Bar, Rod & Wire Division of Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Windber Lodge #349, Johnstown Retired Men’s Club and St. Benedict Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was proud to have harvested a “doe with antlers.” The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. Davis S. Peles, Pastor. Inurnment, Richland Cemetery.
