Molnar – Andrew P., “Punda”, 68, Windber, formerly of Franklin Borough, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2016 at Windber Medical Center. Born on April 18, 1948 in Johnstown, son of the late Andrew and Annie (Slavich) Molnar. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Delores A. (Stawarz) Molnar, Windber; daughter, Chrissy M, wife of Ed Miller, Johnstown; grandson, Curtis M. Miller, Nanty Glo; brother, David J., married to the former Donna Ribblett, Franklin Borough; nephew and God Son, Peter Molnar, married to the former Angie Deist, Johnstown; niece, Nicole Molnar, and her daughter, Makayla Strushensky, both of Franklin Borough; God Mother, Helen Slavich, Franklin Borough and several aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends and his faithful companions, Sandi and Lucky. Andy was a graduate of Franklin High School. He retired from Freight Car America after 34 years of service as a welder. Andy was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Windber. He was also a member of the Austrian Hall, Turners, Daisytown Sportsmen’s Club, and life member of the Franklin Volunteer Fire Company. Andy enjoyed hunting with his daughter, Chrissy and his friend, Denny, gardening and riding his trike. He loved spending time with his family and will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father and friend. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Private inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
