Barton – Andrea Lynn, 34, Altoona, formerly of Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2025. Born on May 30, 1990 in Denver, CO, daughter of the late Frank E. Sesack, Teresa A. (Mihalko) Sesack, and the beloved step daughter of John C. Speicher, who she knew as “Dad”. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Andrew and Agnes Mihalko; paternal grandparents, Frank and Betty Sesack, and her cousin, Abby Sesack. She is survived by her loving husband, Matthew Edward Barton; daughter, Ingrid Louise Barton; siblings, Steven (Chelsey) Sesack, The Woodlands, TX, Sarah M. (Justin) McKool, Johnstown, Jacob M. (Yakira) Speicher, Davidsville. She is also survived by loving in-laws: Edward and Susan Barton, Kathryn (Joshua) Greenberg, Josiah (Suzanne) Barton, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many close friends. Andrea was a 2008 graduate of Richland High School. She later graduated in 2012 from West Virginia University earning her degree in Nutritional Science. Andrea was employed at Altoona School District. Through her work, she educated students on the importance of healthy eating, a cause she deeply believed in. Outside of her profession, she was an artist at heart. She found joy in sharing her artwork, calligraphy, and delicate watercolor cards that she would create, bringing beauty into the world through her creativity. She was passionate about health and wellness, swimming, hiking, biking, camping, yoga, reading, exploring new places, cooking, discovering new recipes, and spending time with her beloved dogs, Cosmo and Rusty. She was an active member of the First Church of Christ in Altoona, where she worshiped, volunteered, and made many friends with whom she studied. She loved Christ, her husband, family, life, mountains, forests, and oceans. She was the salt and light to others that she was called to be, and had a faith in God that could move mountains. She impacted the lives of countless people through her strength, resilience, and capacity to love and help others. A thousand words could not paint the picture of how truly amazing and irreplaceable she was. One of her favorite Bible verses was Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Visiting hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at First Church of Christ, 113 Good Shepherd Road, Altoona, PA 16601.
