Bloom, Alice N., 98, Richland Twp. Died October 27, 2011, at Golden Living Center, Richland. Born August 23, 1913, in Windber. Daughter of the late Simon P. and Mary E. (Kearney) Naugle. Also preceded in death by husband, Elmer R. Bloom; sons, Raymond E. and Donald E. and these brothers and sisters; Paul, Robert, infant Clair, Clifford and Ruth Oatman; half brothers and sisters; Harvey and Josiah Naugle, Bertha Parson, Sadie Sharpe, Elizabeth Shaffer, Arminta Mock and Nellie Penrod. Survived by daughters; Joan, wife of Earl Mays, Lancaster; and Donna, wife of Thomas Stiles, Manassas, VA. Grandchildren; Patricia Bloom, Donald Bloom, Alan Mays, Nancy Newmoyer, Amy Jackson, Thomas and Douglas Stiles, Diane Entermont and Judith Wood. Also 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Sister of Mary Jane Krise, Richland. Daughter-in-law, Wilma Bloom, Richland. Alice attended Richland High School and farmed with her husband Elmer. She was a caregiver for over 50 years for her son Raymond, who was a Disabled Veteran of the Korean War. Member of Dunmyer Lutheran Church and Ragers Corner Society of Farm Women. She also served as pianist and organist at her church for 13 years. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and from 10 am to 11 am time of service Monday at Dunmyer Lutheran Church, Pastor Nila Cogan, Officiating.
