YOUNG---Alaia Hope, 5, Johnstown, passed away on October 27, 2022 at home. Born May 21, 2017, in Johnstown, daughter of Albert V. Young Jr. and Volaura Askew. Preceded in death by grandfather, Jesse Askew and Uncle, Orande Askew, great-grand-grandmas, Dorothy Young and Patricia Hipp and Godfather, Kareem Brandon. She is survived by her parents and her sister, Abrelle Young; grandparents, Albert V. Young Sr. (Emily) and Beth Hipp (Bert); Landell Reynolds (Tawsha); Jeanette Askew and Anna Hamer; great-grandma, Donna Reynolds; aunts and uncles, Frank, Damien, Kyrell, JaQuay, Lexi, Jada, Tyanne; Godmother, Blair Crumbly and a host of cousins and friends. Alaia loved to sing, dance and be silly. Her favorite song was Vibe. Her favorite color was yellow. She is known for telling her stories and jokes. She was a big daddy’s girl! Alaia was the light of all of our lives. She was a fighter and very energetic, from her sassiness all the way to her being as sweet as a peach. She loved her big sister/best friend and her mommy. Alaia will be missed dearly by all. Mommy, Daddy and Brelly love you so much and we hope you are dancing in the sky. To my dear angel in heaven, I just want you to know that you are always in my thoughts and how much I love you so. I know you are in God’s care, that it should be, but when I get to heaven, He will give you back to me. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial service at Noon, Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating.
